I've also been using the NT5s religiously for micing amps and acoustic instruments (guitar, banjo, etc.). I have definitely noticed, not only a big jump in the richness of the tracks recorded, but also I don't need to effect the sound nearly as much once recorded.
I just tried a bunch of mics out at an acoustic guitar session. RØDE K2 sounded the best of the bunch.
If you are looking for a small compact microphone to improve the quality of your compact video setups, I would be hard pressed to look further than the RØDE VideoMic Pro... I’ll gladly give the Rode VideoMic Pro a Geek Beat Editor’s Choice Award.
Seriously, you blow the competition out of the water. I am so pleased with the sound quality.

The RØDE Podcaster is a great mic for serious podcasters. I use it with Garageband running on my Mac and it works spectacularly. The feature where you are able to plug in directly to the mic to monitor sound is priceless. The sound quality is great as well. I totally recommend this mic!

Even if you are used to the quietness of the NT1-A, the new NT1 is simply a revelation. I set it up in the middle of my studio...turned up the mic amp gain, and sat silently, listening to the ambient room noise on headphones. This is an uncannily quiet microphone!
I’m onto my 3rd Podcaster and it’s the best thing that has happened to me in 35 years as announcer at the Seven network. I have a spare at the office and one that travels with me everywhere. Interstate, overseas... EVERYWHERE!

I love RØDE mics, and now I love you guys even more, what incredible customer care! I've tried and tested a lot of brands, and still your microphones just can’t be beat.

Just dropped my M1 down the escalator at channel Seven, Melbourne. Bounced off 35 steel steps to the bottom… works perfectly!! God bless ya RØDE!
