What is 1pa?

The term 'pa' is short for Pascal and is the standard index measurement of sound pressure. Sound pressure is the difference or deviation from the ambient atmospheric pressure caused by a sound wave.

 

Sound pressue is ofen also displayed in dB SPL. 1 Pascal can be measured as 94dB SPL.
