Senior Electronics Design Engineer

The role involves design for a variety of products from initial concept and schematics through to layout and specification of production-ready PCBs. You will be working with other members of the design team, production staff and senior management.
The successful applicant needs to be versatile and results-focussed. You must have good understanding of fundamental principles as relate to design for audio, in particular microphones. You should have suitable tertiary qualifications and a minimum of five years professional experience.
Tasks will include:
- Circuit design (both IC-based and discrete)
- Component specification and sourcing
- PCB layout (including miniaturisation and optimisation for in-house SMT lines)
- Liaison with external vendors, both local and overseas
- Documentation of designs using Altium
- Working with production to refine and streamline manufacture
You should have proven experience in electronics design for audio application, both analogue and digital. Experience with A/D conversion for iOS devices desirable. The successful applicant will have strong design skills and the ability to generate cost-effective, high-performance solutions within tight timeframes.
Role may involve occasional O/S travel
