Happy New Year!

I am emphasising Happy this year as I have just completed a recording session with producer Quetzal Flores, Aloe Blacc and Martha Gonzales. I have had so much fun in the studio experimenting with vocals and arrangements and really enjoying the ‘artist’ side to ‘recording artist.’ I still have heaps to go and I’m enjoying every chance I get to work with these amazing song writers and musicians. I never know what’s going to happen each session, we just push until we get to a point where it feels right, this style of recording suits me well. And I feel really comfortable trying new things vocally with the mic clarity being so great. Do you know that you can hear your eyes blink in a RØDE mic?

Until next blog,
Peace

"Capturing the profundity of my acoustic instruments has always been an issue for me. Whether it be in a state of the art recording studio, or at home, the depth of my jarana, requinto and bajosexto seems to diminish……that is until I began to use the NT5 stereo mics. I can now consistently capture the entirety of my massively resonating strings and wood, without the feelings of doubt. Thank you RØDE."
