The Hives rock RØDE
M1, NT2-A, Procaster and M3 all feature in The Hives' Sydney show
Swedish rockers The Hives left a capacity crowd in awe during their recent private set at The Metro in Sydney. Their energetic recipe of riff-based rock n roll was completely supported by a suite of RØDE microphones.

The new RØDE M1 took more than its fair share of abuse and stage antics from Hives’ frontman Howlin’ Pelle Almqvist, as he hurled both the mic and himself around the stage. The M1’s rock credentials showed up however, never skipping a beat throughout the performance.

On guitars, both Nicholaus Arson and Vigilante Carlstroem chose the NT2-A, while Dr Matt Destruction expertly rocked the Procaster dynamic on his custom Hiwatt bass cabinet.

The RØDE M3 proved its versatility on both toms and snare for Chris Dangerous, while a matched pair of NT55s captured cymbals and percussion ambience.

The band and FOH engineer Zoran “Zok” Malceski were so impressed with the microphones that they plan to use them during future performances.
